Optimising the Millennium HorseThe Poser Millennium Horse from Daz3d for all of it's problems
is still light years ahead of the standard Poser 3/4/5 Horse figure, it has
beautifully modelled musculature and an integral transparency mapped mane, tail
and fetlocks equipped with loads of morphs. The downside to all of this is the sheer size of the CR2 and the length of time that it takes to load and pose on some older computers. By stripping out all of the unneeded morphs that are in the CR2 (Poser file format) I have managed to get the file size down from a whopping 42.2mb to my "lite" version at 6.12 The technique that I used to do this uses only free utilities and is applicable to any Poser figure that has more morphs than you need. I have written the following short tutorial to help others do the same. A lesson in Morph Manager and CR2editor.Needed Utilities:
Part 2, using CR2Editor to remove the unwanted full body morphs coming soon!
